  • 2024 Stephen West MKAL GoGo Dynamo by Stephen West with Punk Rock Unicorn Soul in Mossy and Basil Oats

    • I wasn’t going to do this one, but I saw my Mom’s and it was just so cool.

    • Stephen West Shawls are fun for all of the new techniques, bright colors, and fun patterns

    • I put it down for a while and recently picked it back up. My yarn exploded, its in a huge knot, and I don’t want to talk about it.

    • UPDATE: Many, many hours later, with the help of my talented sister, the yarn is no longer in knots and I’m on a roll.

    • Because I’m a glutton for punishment, I decided to do an optional brioche section with Mohair, and I’ve sucessfully completed the first round of brioche.

what guage?

  • Moondrake Tee by This Bird Knits with West Yorkshire Spinners exquisite 4-ply (80% Falkland Wool/20% Silk)

    • This was actually a pretty relaxing lace pattern to swatch, and this yarn is a delight to work with.

    • I even wrote down my gauge (ish) before and after blocking

    • Speaking of gauge, how does one figure it out for a pattern such as this? IDK. I took my best guess and did some math.

    • I’m having trouble getting past the first couple rounds of lace. Once I do, I think this will fly off the needles
